How much does it cost for my child to register?
Absolutely nothing. Our program is free to all participants and includes all the necessary equipment.
Do you have to live in DC to be eligible for the program?
No. Our focus is youth in Wards 5, 6, 7, and 8 but we do not turn away any family who expresses interest.
Can I register more than one child and can they all attend the same program?
Yes, any of your children between grades K-8 may be registered. Please note that we cannot guarantee they will be registered into the same program. Children must be enrolled into programs by their own parent or legal guardian.
I would like to enroll my child into a program not listed on your site as a partner, can you get them enrolled?
We will try our best to contact the organization of interest and register your child but we cannot guarantee registration. If you have suggestions on sports or organizations you would like to see added please fill out our survey!
Where are the activities held?
It depends on the program. Most tend to take place at The Fields at RFK and around Capitol Hill.
My child was registered but can’t attend this season. How do I cancel their registration?
Please notify our program manager, Monica at ysfa@goplaydc.org if you need to cancel your child’s seasonal registration. Contact the organization running the activity directly to notify them of singular absences.
Is lunch and/or transportation included?
Lunch and transportation are not included in our program. All participants are responsible for their own food and must have timely transportation to and from all games, practices, and camps.

Do my children need any experience to participate in the program?
Nope! Most programs are suited to train children of all skill levels, so beginners are always welcome.
Can my child be enrolled in more than one program?
We will do our best to get children enrolled into multiple programs so long as scholarships are available. We will register every child into one program to begin with and then contact parents again if additional programs are available to their child.
Does your program run in the winter season?
Not yet. But maybe one day…stay tuned!
Do I need to submit any paperwork or proof of income?
At this time, we do not require paperwork for eligibility.
How do I know if practice or camp was canceled?
Parents will need to contact the organization or coach running the practice/camp directly for updates. Go Play’s team is not notified when there is a cancellation/rescheduling of practice or camp.
Can I change weeks or programs if something else I like becomes available?
No. We ask that you commit to the program we register your child in to respect the limited number scholarships and our registration schedule.
