If Events DC is the owner of The Fields, what does Go Play do?

Go Play is a grassroots-initiated nonprofit organization of community advocates of the conversion of unused space to usable, accessible playing fields in Washington, DC. In spring 2019, Events DC, the owner of The Fields at RFK Campus, awarded Go Play the contract to operate The Fields. We oversee the daily scheduling and operation of the facility for the coordination of amateur sports programs and community activities.

Why’d you change your name?

Great question! We started as Capitol Riverside Youth Sports Park, with the acronym CRYSP. As we continued our advocacy, we realized that we wanted a name that would represent exactly what we are about. Hence, Go Play! Our new name is a direct call to action and an invitation for all to get out there and go play.

I have an idea for a project.

We want to hear about it! Please send us a message.

Who can I contact with questions or concerns about operation of The Fields?

You can reach us at thefields@goplaydc.org or (202) 539-9555.

What else does Go Play do besides operate The Fields?

Check out our Youth Sports For All program. We enroll youth in high-quality after-school and summer youth sports programs providing scholarships, equipment and information for parents.
