equitable access to sports and recreation

We have been making space to Go Play for over a decade now. Started by a group of parents who saw the need for more high-quality playing fields in our neighborhood, Capitol Riverside Youth Sports Park (CRYSP) was founded in 2012.

Go Play has grown into a full-fledged facilities management and advocacy organization engaging high-need communities in the creation of safe, high-quality spaces for sports and recreation.

MAKING SPACE TO PLAY

Go Play works to convert underused spaces into sports and recreational facilities for local residents. We work to improve existing facilities β€” better maintenance, better management and capital improvements. Contact us if you know of a property you think we should consider.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Go Play engages community, connecting neighbors and removing barriers to participation especially in Wards 5, 6, 7 + 8.

Youth Sports for All registers 200 youth in 14 local sports and recreation programs creating stronger, more diverse teams and experiences for every young athlete on the field.

FACILITY MANAGEMENT

The Go Play team manages The Fields at RFK Campus on behalf of Events DC. Our skilled team permits, programs, schedules, and monitors this outstanding city asset. Request a permit for your league, team, family or corporate event.

β€œThe Fields at RFK are our favorite venue in the city, not just because of the space and layout, but because of how the GoPlay staff takes care of us at our events. We run everything there from elementary school soccer tournaments and community festivals, to one of the biggest corporate charity tournaments in the world, SCORES Cup. The space gives us all we need and then some while the staff treat our poet-athletes, families, and Cup captains with the same high level of respect. They are also a visible and responsive resource to our own staff on event days, and anybody who has ever held a major event before knows how important that is!”
