equitable access to high-quality sports and recreation
We have been making space to Go Play for over a decade now. We started as a group of parents who saw the need for more high-quality playing fields in our neighborhood and founded Capitol Riverside Youth Sports Park or CRYSP in 2012. Since then we’ve grown into a full-fledged facilities management and advocacy organization engaging high-need communities in the creation of safe, high-quality spaces for sports and recreation.
MAKING SPACE TO PLAY
We work to convert underused spaces into sports and recreational facilities for local residents. We work to improve existing facilities — better maintenance, better management and capital improvements. Contact us if you know of a property you think we should consider.
ADVOCACY
We advocate for recreation projects that build equity and a stronger, more active city. We work with communities to improve existing facilities, convert underutilized property into play spaces, and vocalize the role in high quality recreation in public safety, public heath and economic opportunity. Consider us your community megaphone!
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
We engage our community by connecting neighbors and removing barriers to participation especially in Wards 5, 6, 7 + 8. In 2024, Youth Sports for All registered over 200 youth in 14 local sports and recreation programs creating stronger, more diverse teams and experiences for every young athlete on the field.
FACILITY MANAGEMENT
The Go Play team manages The Fields at RFK Campus on behalf of Events DC. Our skilled team permits, programs, schedules, and monitors this outstanding city asset. Request a permit for your league, team, family or corporate event.
We play better together. Join us in creating spaces for all to Go Play.
